About The Owner

Richard (Dick) Bretz has been actively involved in large-scale commercial livestock production, agriculture, and agricultural real estate for over 40 years. His career began in Iowa where he farmed, ran cattle, and worked as a licensed commodity broker. Then after earning a degree in finance he was offered the opportunity to join the King Ranch in South Texas. During his decade at King Ranch, Dick managed a diverse range of operations focusing on commercial feedyards, cattle procurement and marketing, and risk management for the cattle and feeding operations.

 

Dick has served on or chaired several industry boards and committees, participated in multiple cattle feeding partnerships, and consulted for banks and feedyard operators. Over the past 20+ years he has closed on more than 60 commercial feedyard sales and acquisitions including transactions with many of the nation’s largest cattle feeding companies and international clients or customers.

 

Throughout his career Dick has developed enduring personal and professional relationships with industry leaders and dignitaries across the U.S. and internationally.

 

A licensed real estate broker in Texas, Colorado, Nebraska, and Kansas, Dick brings deep industry insight and experience to every project. He resides in Corpus Christi, Texas.
